econyl®

ECONYL® is a regenerated nylon yarn made from waste such as fishing nets recovered from the oceans, carpets destined for landfill, or industrial scraps.

ECONYL® yarn has the same characteristics as virgin nylon but can be regenerated, recreated, and remoulded infinitely. The use of ECONYL® nylon represents a sustainable solution in the production of some Garmont® products, as it helps reduce the use of new resources and environmental impact. Moreover, uppers made with ECONYL® yarn are extremely breathable and keep the foot cool and dry even during high-intensity activities.

The choice of ECONYL® actively contributes to an 87% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to the use of virgin nylon yarn and enables a 44% reduction in energy from non-renewable sources.
