We are Simone and Romina, IDUEVAGAMONDI, two thirty-somethings who, after a few years travelling as photographers and writers for travel/mountain magazines as well as tourist offices, decided in 2020, after years of searching, to settle down. We missed our home mountains too much, those of the Cuneo area.

Here we are, having moved to live in the mountains, in Valle Pesio. Here we are the only residents of a small hamlet at 900 metres. In addition to photography, two years ago we opened a family-run rural hospitality. With this change of life, geared above all towards simplicity and a return to a more authentic and wild existence, we also opened a YouTube channel where we share life as mountain dwellers, hoping one day to be able to be so one hundred percent.

From chopping wood and baking bread to fixing up the building, every day we learn new and also ancient crafts of the past, so we can return to living in symbiosis with the woods and the mountains. With the utmost respect possible. A hard life, but a perfect one for what we have learned over these years. You could even say a life dedicated to living the mountains to the fullest, all year round. Ours aims to be a long-term project with an important focus: "to create authentic value in respect for and protection of nature and the mountains."

To make a mountain shine again, a forgotten middle land, neglected for too many years but which deserves to be told, promoted and lived. With the help of our animals, we are clearing the woods, enhancing the chestnut groves and the old trails.

We live all year round with our boots on our feet, completely immersed in nature. You could say it's a dream come true!
